The Japanese Language for Travelers

PART 1

What was the last thing you searched for online? Why were you looking for it?

“1-10 in Japanese”

After talking about it for months, we finally booked our flights to Japan!

Meaning, it’s finally time to start our favorite part of pre-travel: research and planning! Making an itinerary, choosing activities and excursions, and learning common phrases, numbers, and useful language to use abroad.

While, it may sound like a headache to some. We love this stuff!

When this writing prompt, “came across our desk,” we happened to have just started a post on Useful Japanese Words to Learn as a Traveler.

MORE ON JAPAN

We decided to try something new with our Destinations page on Japan.

Usually, we gather a bunch of research, plan our trip, go on the trip, and write pages for them.

This time, we know there is a large amount of people with upcoming travel to Japan. So, we’re sharing what we learn, ahead of time.

Not only will we be preparing with our usual cultural research. But, we have personal connections to Japan. So, we’ll still be sharing personalized recommendations as well pre-trip.

Not only do we have friends who are from (and still live in) Japan. But, our brother was even born there! Needless to say, this trip means a lot to us, and we just can’t wait to share!
